Liftapalooza 2026
Stimulus's Powerlifting Meet In Reno, NV
Event Recap
Our first ever Liftapalooza hosted at the new Stimulus brought the community together for a high-energy day of lifting, camaraderie, vendors, and support. With over 30 competitors showing up to test themselves on the platform, and a crowd of supporters to cheer them on, the event delivered exactly what it was meant to: heavy iron, lots of PRs, loud crowds, and a real showcase of the culture being built inside Stimulus.

What Is Liftapalooza?
Liftapalooza is OUR powerlifting meet hosted inside Stimulus, unsanctioned, on purpose. Built to bring lifters and the local community together for a day of strength, competition, and lot's of fun.
Unsanctioned, On Purpose
This means our rules, our awards, our gym. Competitors lifted with iron plates only no kilos, that's more our style. Event's didn't just include your traditional 3 attempts, some of our strongman and bodybuilders came out to complete an AMRAP (as many reps as possible) of their favorite lift. Lifters were allowed to compete in any event of their choosing whether they only wanted to do 1 or compete in all 3. This was done to give everyone the opportunity to get in the room and be a part of it.
Bringing Everyone Together
Whether someone was chasing a PR, stepping onto the platform for the first time, or just showing up to support, the goal was simple: bring people together and let them show what hard work, discipline, and real self determination looks like.
There was no shortage of inspiring moments. Including Steven with a mind blowing 585lbs deadlift for 10 reps, and Carly putting up 315lbs for 10 as well. Julia with a 450lbs squat and 500lbs deadlift (yes you heard that right.) And probably the most inspiring of all was Garret, a war veteran coming out and completing all 3 events with a prosthetic leg. To wrap up the lifting was a massive 700lbs deadlift PR from one of our gym's favorite lifters Joey.
Awards
The event ended with a heartfelt speech from Coach Jackson Cirillo about the major impact powerlifiting has had on his life, and an award ceremony, not to boast or brag but to celebrate our people.
This included:
Loudest Lift - Ivy Ramirez
Hardest Worker - Garret Von Gunten
Favorite Lifter (Peoples Champ) - Julia Maka
Most Helpful - Tanner Payne
Liftapalooza was an amazing event put on by Coach Jackson with lots of other help from our community.
This will definitely not be the last, be sure you don't miss the next one!
